construction is from the 1400s or earlier. While most of the house is least 500 years old, it has

The house is thought to be part of a very historic, important property next to the Church of San
Giovanni Battista, 17th century (built upon the foundations of an ancient Roman castle), and the
road in front of the house still retains the original paving stones from the Middle Ages and is
named for the Saint, San Gemma Galgani, who lived just a steps away. Her historic house still
stands and is marked with a plaque.

Only a 15-20 minute drive from the city center of Lucca, the spectacular location includes
